About the Author
Steve Smallman is the author of numerous children's books, including A Hug for Humphrey, The Lamb Who Came to Dinner and Smelly Peter the Great Pea Eater. A father of four grown-up children, Steve now has grandchildren to test his stories on. His latest picture book, Dragon Stew, was Highly Commended at the Sheffield Children's Book Awards.
Robert William Dunn was born in Paisley, Scotland and currently lives with his daughter, Emily, son, Caius, and wife, Clare, in South Lanarkshire. He studied Illustration at the then College of Building & Printing in Glasgow. Before illustrating full time he scraped a living drawing caricatures and illustrating magazines.

Texas! That's Where We Live!

Great book our Three year old loves it. He loves the mentioning of his home town as well as the major land marks around the state.The illustrations are pleasing to the eye. The only concern my son had was regarding Rudolph. In this story he is very old and looks tired. Santa gets lost in the fog and Rudolph with his nose not so bright doesn't light the way. my son was perplexed by the inconsistency. It may have been better if Rudolph was never mentioned if he wasn't going to play the role he does in every other Santa story...

My kids loved it!

The illustrations are fun to look at, the story held my kids' interest, it made Christmas a little more magical, because it's very specific to the area where we live. My daughter has been to Austin and Dallas and San Antonio and could point out in the pictures certain landmarks.
Not sure why some reviewers didn't like it, it works great for Texas!

Kids Loved it!

This is a cute book and our 4 year old twins loved it! They chose the book to read on Christmas Eve over many other favorites and insisted we leave cookies and milk for Santa AND carrots for the reindeer. Very entertaining for adults too. The Texas humor comes through..
